When I started imagining Riley’s nursery in my head, I wanted something bright and neutral with fun pops of color. I originally envisioned a camping theme. The first thing I decided to do was paint a seafoam accent wall. A little harmless browsing on Pinterest and I was convinced to make it a ‘mountain’ accent wall. When it was finished, I loved the geometric element so much that it quickly became a new theme throughout the room. The shelf, the ‘be brave’ canvas, the side table, and the rocking chair all brought some geometric accents. In the end, the camping idea was lost but we worked hard to make the room have a wild and adventurous spirit.
A few weeks after Riley was born, Amy Benoit came to our house to take some newborn photos of our family of three! Of course, Palmer is our furbaby and first child, so he had to make an appearance. I’m so happy to have these photos of our growing family in our first home together! You can see glimpses of Riley’s nursery and also some shots of our living room. We’ve worked so hard to make our house a home and I know I’m going to look back on these with such joy!
I fall in love with Riley’s adventure-themed nursery every time I walk in there. I just love seeing our sweet boy grow up here. This life together is perfect. I love you, Riley.
